Rogan as a child was not one to study books about trading or look at market prices, but instead studied a far more intriguing topic: the people of Eorzea, to find out why they make the choices they make. He would spend countless hours reading upon the deeds of the Eorzeans and wanted to understand their very character.
He claims that numbers such as prices and the like were always predictable and yet he was very much so entranced by what the Eorzean spirit is capable of. As a child, he'd often try looking at people and their mannerisms, being able to understand a person after a simple conversation, and as he grew up, he began adopting these mannerisms himself.
At the age of 25, Rogan was poised to become the new head trading merchant and was going to oversee the new trading routes that his father had prepared. Alas, Rogan simply wanted nothing to do with the trading industry and ran away from home, adventuring as he began to look for people who were teeming with adventure until one fateful day when he stumbled across the Nova Hotel, a hub of sorts where people would meet and share stories. He now resides at the hotel, ready to serve at a moment's notice and find out more about Eorzea's people, and discover for himself the smile that was once on his mother's.
